As of Feb 2026, all training services are unavailable as I begin my pre-veterinary selection semester at Massey University. Unfortunately due to Student Visa limitations, I am not permitted to continue working during my studies.
Instead, I will be sharing my journey with all of you who wish to keep in touch and follow along. I'll post blogs every so often to update you on how it's going and give a bit of a glimpse of what the process is like and my view coming at it with a background in dog training. Meet The Trainer
Hi there! I’m Kathy, a certified professional dog trainer with over a decade of animal care experience, and I have been training professionally since 2022. My love for animals is now leading me to veterinary school in 2026.
My passion lies in helping pet parents navigate the overwhelming amount of information about training, nutrition, and healthcare. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to raising a happy, well-adjusted dog — and my goal is to help you find what works best for your family.
Through private lessons, I work one-on-one with owners to address everything from common puppy challenges like house training and leash manners to more complex behavior issues such as reactivity, fear, and separation anxiety. My approach is always science-based, compassionate, and designed to strengthen the bond between you and your dog.
Whether you’re starting fresh with a new puppy or working to overcome behavior hurdles, I’m here to guide you with empathy, expertise, and a focus on positive progress — for both ends of the leash.
